   Hello and welcome to my site.  I want to tell you a little about myself. I thought I would write a little something so that you can know who you are purchasing from.  My name is Dan Albert and I was born and raised in San Diego, CA.  I got started in importing about seven years ago. I used to be in a traveling music group before I started this business. We traveled the US extensively and also the world.  I think this is why I am comfortable with traveling to exotic places.  When the band decided to stop touring I had to do something so I thought about bringing things from other countries.  I picked Indonesia because of the beautiful craftsmanship that the local people produce. I first started bringing a few wooden crates of merchandise at each shipment.  My first few shipments of wooden crates soon grew from 4 crates to 8-10 crates per shipment. 

       As this happened I decided to bring my first small 20ft container.  This of course took me awhile to sell because I was only selling at my local flea market.  You see I was working from home taking care of my then very young son while my fiance had her day job.  I would watch our son during the week while doing Ebay and on the weekends I would sell at our local flea market.  As time went by I started to bring more containers in shorter time frames.  My fiance even got the chance to stop her day job and now work for the business.  This past year we have moved up to bringing 40ft containers of handicrafts.  Our wholesale business along with our internet business has increased which allows us to bring more containers of goodies. 

         Now I should tell you that when we purchase items we do not haggle with the makers.  If we feel it is a fair price for the artwork, we will purchase the items.  If we feel its not a fair price we simply say thank you and walk away.  We understand that they also need to make a living so haggling over a few bucks when its already a decent price is just not cool in our books. Me and my fiance Jami feel very fortunate that we have the chance to work from home and raise our son.  Its been great because we get to go on his field trips, pick him up and drop him off at school, eat lunch with him at school, and help out with school functions. I'm not bragging but just thankful. Well I think I have told you enough about me for now.  Just remember when you purchase anything from my web site you are dealing directly from the importer (me). If you have any problems you will be dealing directly with me and not some operator on the phone who knows nothing.  Our goal is to bring quality unique items at affordable pricing.  If you have any questions please do not hesitate to contact me by phone or email.
